LBA, LGA raise the issue of stranded patients, pilgrims

Presidents of Ladakh Buddhist Association and All Ladakh Gonpa Association raised the issue of stranded patients and pilgrims outside Ladakh during a meeting with Lieutenant Governor, R K Mathur on April 13 at Raj Niwas.

Highlighting the issue faced by stranded patients and pilgrims outside Ladakh, they urged Lieutenant Governor for their early evacuation as per guidelines of Government of India. Also, they appreciated the launch of Ladakh Connect website to facilitate Ladakhis staying outside to be in direct touch with the Administration.

They further thanked UT Administration, Hill Council, Health and Police Department for their efforts in mitigating the threat of COVID-19 in the region. Full support in educating people about the pandemic and help in providing other requirements in future was also assured.
