Lamstan organises career counselling session at CIBS

With an aim to provide career guidance to the students of Ladakh region, Lamstan organised an annual mega event on July 1 at CIBS, Choglamsar. Around 700 students from different schools attended.

Ovessa Iqbal, Indian Foreign Service requested parents to encourage their children’s decision to instil positive achievement in their life. Talking about parent’s role, she said that parents must care and trust their child's decision for his or her upbringing.

She further added that no matter which corner of the world we work, serving the community with good intention is important.

Tondup Wangail, President Lamstan sharing motive behind organising the mega event said that a large number of students from Ladakh face numerous challenges due to poor facilities, poor guidance and opportunities. This is forcing them to move other parts of the India to pursue their further studies or career. In their struggle, students often get trapped into dilemmas. With counselling, we hope that it will benefit the students from remotest part of Ladakh to pursue their dreams in life. This provides them guidance in their early and late education.

Experts like Stanzin Dawa Regional Director RGNYID, Chandigarh and Dr. Sonam Wangchuk Founder HCHF shared their success stories and gave a moral boost to the students. 

Students from different education field like Arts, Commerce and Engineering gave a career counselling to the students.

The mega event has benefited students, teachers and the parents to update themselves with the latest career opportunities available.
