The exhibition on Thread Whispers, chapter 1: of Rocks and Apricot and Mountain top, was started at LAMO (Ladakh Arts and Media Organization) by Shivani Gupta and Corinne Adams on May 17.

The opening begins with a photo exhibition and documentary filming by photographer /dancer Shivani Gupta and writer/ musician Corinne Elysse Adams with featuring a musical performance by Corinne, Rigzin Nurboo, Tsewang Phuntsok and Tsering Chorol.

Shivani Gupta said that the project began in 2012 and covered three diverse regions Ladakh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The main reason behind choosing Dha and Hanu village for the project is its unique culture and language which is different from rest of Ladakh. 

Gyalson a school teacher said that although he doesn’t have any acting background but shooting documentary related to Ladakhi culture and tradition is a great privilege for him.

Photo exhibition portrays various characters of Dha and Hanu in their traditional dress, playing out various scenes against the landscape of Dha Hanu.
