Lamdon celebrates annual parent’s day in its newly-completed hall

The Parents’ Day celebration of Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School was organised in its newly completed premises here on October 10.
 
Principal Eshey Tundup urged parents not to give cell phones to their children as it distracts the students from their studies.  He said, “Parents should assist their children in managing and sending money as many of students come to the school with a huge sum of money.”
 
He further expressed his happiness to celebrate the parent’s day in a newly completed hall and further thanked all the contributors and supporters.

Dr. Sonam Dawa , CEC said, Lamdon have the profound intervention of advocacy in the life of a child by providing free accommodation and education to hundreds of orphans and students from the far flung area and encouraged to carry such work forward.

Talking about multiculturalism and pluralism as strength and pride of the nation, Nawang Rigzin, Jora, MLA said, India is rich in civilization heritage which appreciates the benefits of exposures to varied cultures and worldviews.
 
He further advocates students about the power of the knowledge in the era of knowledge and importance of having a questioning mind with critically analysing skills.

Chemet Rigzin, Parent’s representative said it is the parent’s personality which moulds the nature of their kids. The family is the core basic aspect that makes up the society and the humanity structure. For this structure to stay stable, it is the family unit that needs to build a strong ground.
 
The occasion was marked with various colourful dance and singing performances and prize distributions among the students.
