Ladakh Media and Cultural Society to curb piracy in Leh

Video piracy has become rampant and is depriving Ladakh film industry and in this regard   Ladakh Media and Cultural society organized a meeting on 19th December to curb the problem of piracy in the market. The meeting was attended by the member of LMCS and the film and video album sellers.
 
Ladakh Media and Cultural society has also got a court order on this matter and has appealed all the video sellers to sell the original copy of DVD’s and CD’s to the customer. 

Ladakhi films and videos is another way to promote the language, culture, tradition and place. The filmmakers of Ladakh have been highly discouraged by the increasing piracy issues which have directly affected their work and business. 

Pirated versions of new releases reach in the market in minutes, offering easy viewing to scores of people.
