First Planning Board meeting of UT Ladakh for sustainable development was convened by Lieutenant Governor, Radha Krishna Mathur on March 1.

Discussion on key sectors such as education, health, communication, connectivity, ecology, environment, agriculture, water, infrastructure, sports, disaster management, wildlife, power, Rural & urban development, Industry & Commerce, tourism, textiles, Handicraft & Handloom, Information Technology, and others were held.

Radha Krishna Mathur announced the implementation of setting up of the Inter-District Advisory Council for proper planning and execution of various initiatives.

Appreciating people’s positive attitude towards the development of Ladakh, he stressed on the importance of developing Ladakh with its ethos and culture. 

The concerns regarding land, culture, ecology and job security need to be taken care of while making plans so that everybody can be a partner in building a new Ladakh, said R K Mathur.
