Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nyoma visits villages of Durbuk block

Awareness programmes, animal health camps and seed distribution programmes  was carried out by a team of scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nyoma , SKUAST in different villages of Durbuk block from November 25 to 27.

During the 3 days tour, they visited Durbuk-Pupun, Tangtse and Phobrang villages of Changthang region.

Dr. Anwar Hussain, Scientist, Food Technology spoke about the hygienic production and importance of milk and milk products at Durbuk Punpun. Dr Sonam Spaldon, Scientist, Vegetable Science aware people about the winter cropping pattern of vegetable crops under protected structures at Tangtse. 

Vegetable seeds were distributed among the farmers. 

Dr. Mohsin Ayoub Mir, Scientist, Animal Science briefed about the control and management of common infectious diseases in livestock of Changthang region. 

Also, animal health camp was organised by Dr. Arif Pandit, Scientist, Animal Science at Phobrang, where animals were treated and medicines were distributed.
