Kargil up in arms against Nigerian army’s massacre of Shias

A protest rally was organised by Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) and   Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Sankoo on 16th and 18th December respectively against the illegitimate detention of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky and killing of Shia Muslims in Nigeria on 12th December by the country’s own military force.

Haji Mohammad Baqir, Vice Chairman Political Affairs IKMT condemned the vicious attack of Nigerians military and said that it shows a direct link between Boko Haram terrorists and Nigerian army. He added that this massacre is ten times bigger than that of Paris attack but Europe and America are silent over it. He appealed the Govt. of India to put pressure on the Nigerians Govt. to bring the preparatory to justice and bring about the immediate release of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky.

In the protest rally of by Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Sankoo slogans were raised against the incident of Shia massacre in Nigeria. They also raised slogans against America, Israel, Saudi-Arabia and the Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram.

According to Associated Press, on December 15, human rights activists accused Nigeria's military, perhaps as many as 1,000 Shia Muslims in just three days in what the country's top human rights protector is calling "a massacre" in the ancient Islamic town of Zaria. The movement leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky has been reportedly severely wounded and arrested after the army raided his house and killed his son, assistants and hundreds of followers.
