Jigmat Tharchin scales Europe’s highest peak Mt Elbrus Aims to climb ‘Seven Summits’, the highest peaks on each of the seven continents

Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson felicitated Mountaineer, Jigmat Tharchin on September 3 at Council Secretariat for successfully scaling Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe. 

Jigmet Tharchin successfully scaled Mount Elbrus on August 15 and is aiming to climb all the seven highest peaks around the globe known as the Seven Summit. LAHDC, Leh assures all-possible support to Jigmet for his future expeditions.
 
CEC, Tashi Gyalson said, “ It is a proud moment for the entire people of UT Ladakh that Jigmat Tharchin scaled Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe after a successful summit to Mount Everest the highest peak in the world earlier this year.”
 
Jigmat Tharchin shared his experiences and the challenges he came across during the expedition. He extended his gratitude to LAHDC, Leh, and UT Administration for showing interest in his talents and helping in fulfilling his dreams to scale the highest peaks across the world. 
 
Deputy Chairman, Executive Councillors, and Councillors extended congratulations to Everester Jigmet on his successful summit to Mount Elbrus and wishes best for his future expedition to Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa.
