ITBP's 24th Battalion hosts Rozgar Mela, distributes 26 appointment letters

The 12th edition of the 'Rozgar Mela' took place in the Kumbha Hall of the 24th Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in Choglamsar, Leh on February 12. Kailash Choudhary, the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare of the Government of India, and Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, the Member of Parliament from Ladakh, graced the event with their presence.

Spanning 47 centers across the country, the Rozgar Mela successfully distributed over one lakh appointment letters to selected candidates for various government sectors. Specifically, the 24th Battalion ITBP in Leh distributed appointment letters to 26 newly appointed personnel from the Union Territory of Ladakh.

Notable attendees included senior officials from ITBP, such as Clay Khongsai, IPS, Inspector General, Northwest Frontier Ladakh, Ashok Kumar Negi, DIG, and other senior ITBP officials. Additionally, officers from the Union Territory of Ladakh, including Chief Agriculture Officer, Leh, Thinles Dawa, Deputy Director Planning, UT Ladakh, Tsering Angdus, and Headquarter Assistant, Nilza Angmo, graced the occasion.

Expressing delight and pride, Commandant of the 24th Battalion ITBP, Shashi Chandra Jha, highlighted the potential of the Rozgar Mela in creating employment opportunities and fostering youth participation in the nation's development.

MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, emphasized the significant role of ITBP in national service, particularly along the Indo-China border, and expressed gratitude for the employment opportunities extended to the region's youth.
Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmer's Welfare, Kailash Choudhary, reiterated the Government of India's commitment to generating employment for the youth. He emphasized the importance of their contribution to nation-building and underscored the transparent recruitment process, free from corruption.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, remotely initiated the appointment process for over one lakh personnel and virtually addressed the newly appointed individuals. The event concluded with the chief guest, Kailash Choudhary, distributing appointment letters to the deserving candidates.
