Indian Army organises National Integration Tour for villagers of Sasoma and Gya

 The Indian Army organised a National Integration Tour for 35 community members including 29 females and 6 males from Sasoma and Gya villages to New Delhi under the aegis of Op Sadbhavana.

The tour was conducted from November 30 to December 4 and was flagged in by General Officer Commanding, Leh Sub Area.

The tour aimed at enhancing national unity, and cohesion, promoting cultural exchange and understanding of our rich cultural heritage.

The members visited the National Museum and India Gate to understand culture, architecture, and the broader cultural perspective. Thereafter, they visited the National War

Memorial to foster patriotism and National pride. The contingent also visited the Rail Museum where they were exposed to the history, evolution, and technological advancement of Indian Railways. 

This initiative underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and strengthening the bonds of unity among citizens from diverse backgrounds. These tours provide an opportunity for Ladakh’s residents to experience the rich diversity of India’s culture, and traditions and help in fostering deep appreciation for their country’s unique heritage. They are proving to be a valuable initiative in promoting cultural understanding, fostering a sense of National Unity, and inspiring the youth of Ladakh to contribute towards nation-building.
