IAS officers tour DIET Leh to understand education system
A group of 10 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of the 2025 batch visited the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh on March 9 as part of their exposure visit.
The officers were warmly welcomed by the Principal of DIET Leh. During the visit, they were introduced to the functioning and role of the institute in strengthening the education system through teacher training and academic support to schools.
The visiting officers toured various facilities within the institute, including the VSK Lab, Mathematics Lab, and the Balvatika Room, where they observed different teaching-learning resources and innovative practices used for teacher training and early childhood education.
Officials of DIET Leh also briefed the officers about the institute’s activities, particularly its role in organising training programmes for teachers and supporting schools in improving classroom practices and learning outcomes.
The officers interacted with the staff and gained insights into the academic initiatives undertaken by DIET Leh to enhance the quality of education in the region.
