Hill Council, Leh, reviews status of COVID-19 positive patients at Mahabodhi Hospital

Hill Council, Leh reviewed the status of COVID-19 positive patients and the facilities being provided at the dedicated COVID-19 Mahabodhi Karuna Charitable Hospital, Choglamsar on May 9.

Gyal P Wangyal, CEC, Hill Council, Leh and Tsering Sandup, Deputy Chairman took stock via telephonic conversation with Dr. Motup Dorjey, CMO, Leh and Dr. Tashi Motup, Incharge, COVID-19 Mahabodhi Hospital Surgeon Specialist.

Dr. Tashi Motup informed that one patient was cured and discharged from hospital on May 8. The conditions of the 19 active COVID-19 patients of Leh district are stable. Also, he informed that two teams of doctors comprising medical staff including two volunteer nurse and two staff of Mahabodhi are providing 24x7 services.

Both the CEC and Deputy Chairman highly appreciated the invaluable services of frontline warriors headed by Surgeon Specialist, Dr. Tashi Motup and Dr. Chorol, Physician Specialist at dedicated COVID-19 Mahabodhi Hospital. They also acknowledged the priceless volunteer services of two Nurses namely Sonam Dolkar from Domkhar and Stanzin Dolkar from Thiksay for giving their services.

Gyal P Wangyal expressed gratitude to all the staffs of Mahabodhi namely Thukjay Toldan (Zanskar) and Sonam Wangyal (Saspol) for providing their services in maintenance of plumbing and electricity-related works in the hospital. He also lauded the service of Dr. Mohd Baqir CAHO (Nodal Officer), Mahobodi Hospital, Angchuk, Head Assistant Employment Office, Leh (Assistant Nodal Officer) and Eshey Dolkar (Cook).
