HE Gyalsras 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpoche birth centenary celebrated in Delhi

Ladakh Buddhist Vihara management committee celebrated the Birth centenary of His Eminence 19th Kushok Bakula Rinpoche on February 27 at Ladakh Buddhist Vihara, Delhi.

Kiran Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs was the chief guest and Gonchig Gandold, Ambassador of Mongolia, Syed Ghayorul Hasan Rizvi, Chairman Minority Commission as Guests of Honour. 

Kiren Rijiju commended the work done by Rinpoche as a monk, scholar, statesmen and International Diplomat of the Republic of India who not only served as a spiritual leader but also tirelessly worked for the upliftment of the Educational and Socio-political status of Ladakh. 
 
He assured all possible help in the much-needed renovation of the Ladakh Buddhist Vihara as soon as possible. He also shared words of inspiration and encouragement to the student and people.

A copy of the memorandum was also presented to the Kiren Rijiju by Ladakh Buddhist Vihara management committee.

Colourful cultural performances by the members of Ladakh Student Welfare Society Delhi and Students of MIMC Leh were presented.

Thupstan Chhewang, Member of Parliament, Chering Dorjey, Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs, Dorje Mutup, CEC, Gyal Wangyal, EC, Ven. Lama Lobzang, President International Buddhist Council and any other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
