Gyal P Wangyal visits remote village of Shaam region

To take stock of the implementation and progress of various developmental projects, Gyal P Wangyal, Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh along with Stanzin Phuntsog, EC Agriculture visited Fotoksar, Hunufatta, Hinju, Urtsi, Fanjila and Wanla on November 27.
 
At Fotoksar, Dorjey Otsal Sarpanch listed public demands including opening of road through Rong, early installation of V-sat till the mobile tower is sanctioned, early creation of Helipad, electricity through Alchi hydel project and improvement of drinking water supply.
 
At other places, people demanded telecommunication facility, opening, widening and blacktopping of link roads, drinking water facility, renovation of school buildings and MAC buildings, rectification of electric poles, opening of new health centers, protection bunds along nallas to check soil erosion, assistance for establishing Home-Stay, construction of community hall and many more. 
Gyal P Wangyal on the spot instructed officers and engineers to attend public grievances immediately.
 
While addressing at different places, Gyal Wangyal greeted the people on achieving UT for Ladakh. He reminded the 70 years of untiring struggle for UT under the dynamic leadership of late KG Bakula and Thupstan Chhewang and supreme sacrifices in UT movement. 
Gyal said that time has come to work together with more responsibilities on futuristic projects based on the genuine needs of the people and the land. He also said that there will be no issue in funding and assured a faster progress on the ground as top priority of Hill Council. 
He also appealed people to extend their fullest cooperation with the functionaries in achieving the developmental goals. 
Gyal Wangyal further said that the Hill Council is much serious as well as cautious in devising projects based on regional requirement and assured the people that all their legitimate demands shall be fulfilled.
Tsering Motup, SDM Khaltsi;  Sonam Phuntsog, Councilor of the area and a team of district and  Sub Divisional level officers and engineers accompanied the CEC.
