Govt. school, Thiksey begins campaign to increase enrollment

A campaign to increase enrolment and imparting quality education through digital facilities was held at Government High School, Thiksey on January 24.

Councillor Thiksay, LAHDC Leh, Stanzin Chospel; Block Development Council (BDC) Chairperson, Tsewang Paldan; Deputy CEO, Kharu, Abdul Qayum; National Awardee Sonam Gyaltson, School Headmaster, Sarpanch, Gobas of Nang, Stakmo, Ranbirpur and Thiksey villages, Village Education Committee members, teachers, and students were present.

The main objective of the campaign was to increase the enrolment of students in government schools and to impart quality education through digital facilities such as Smart classes, ICT (computer lab), Wi-Fi facilities, co-curriculum activities, from qualified and experienced teachers. 

Councillor Thiksay, LAHDC Leh assured to develop school infrastructure and facilities.

Block Development Council Chairperson, Tsewang Paldan stressed the need to focus on increasing the enrolment of students in government schools and developing the infrastructure of the schools.
