Govt. Higher Secondary school, Lankerchay initiates parents-teacher meet

CEC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan attended the parents-teachers meet of Government Higher Secondary School Lankarchay on March 31.

CEC Khan congratulated the school for organizing the parents-teachers meeting to assess the problems faced in the two years of the Covid-19 pandemic and for making future strategies to strengthen the educational standards.

He said that increasing enrolment of girls in schools is an indicator of better education. It was also informed that LAHDC Kargil has taken education as a priority sector by increasing the budget manifold.

Regarding the strengthening of faculty, CEC Khan said that maximum posts have been filled while the remaining posts will be filled at the earliest.

CEC assured that the construction of the new school building will resume at the earliest and advised parents to extend support to students and teachers to secure the future of their children.

DC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve said that despite a strong educational setup in Kargil, there is still a marginal presence of youth in civil services. He said that students should dedicate themselves to achieving better career opportunities in the future.

He further assured that infrastructure and other developments about the strengthening of the educational sector will be done in a phased manner.

CEO Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmed, Councilor Lankerchay constituency Ghulam Haider and Principal GHSS Lankerchay Sadiq Ali also addressed the gathering and shared their thoughts.

Earlier, a cultural program was presented by the students. Achievers in the field of academics, sports and cultural activities were felicitated by the dignitaries.
