To promote safe and hygienic-sanitary practices among girl students, Govt. Degree College, Drass installed a sanitary pad vending machine and organized an awareness program for girl students regarding menstrual hygiene on June 22.

During the awareness program for girl students regarding menstrual hygiene, Convener, Gender Sensitization Committee against Sexual Harassment (GSCASH), Kaniz Fatima presented a brief lecture on the menstrual cycle and related issues. She apprised girl students about facilities available in girl students’ common room and assured that the college administration is committed to serving students, especially girls.

Assistant Professor, Dr Azam Tahoor and Assistant Professor, Mohd Ali Mala also spoke on menstrual hygiene and encouraged students to maintain health and hygiene.
