Four-days long SEE learning workshop concludes

150 foundational level teachers of government schools participated in the Four Social, Emotional, and Ethical (SEE) learning workshop.

Four-day long Social, Emotional, and Ethical (SEE) learning educator preparation workshop concluded on January 9 at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh.

Around 150 foundational-level teachers of government schools participated in the workshop in two batches. In these four days’ workshop, the experts gave an overview of Social Emotional, and Ethical engagement, one of the important components of the National Education Policy-2020 and National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage (NCF-FS). The participants were familiarized with skills like attention practices, resiliency practices, system thinking, navigating emotions, and many more.

District Education Planning Officer Leh, Sonam Wangchuk was the chief guest on the occasion. He congratulated the teachers for the successful completion of the SEE learning workshop as a part of winter training. He urged the teachers to implement such programs for the holistic development of students. He emphasized on the development of reading habits by the teacher for their personal development and suggested some books for personal development.

Bhoti's book on 'How to Deal with Depression' by Gyan Konchok Nodup teacher of High School Yourgo was launched in the presence of Education Planning Officer Leh, Sonam Wangchuk, and Principal DIET Leh, Chetan Dorje.

Principal, DIET Leh Chetan Dorje expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of four-day workshops and urged the participants to implement the program with students.
