Five-day FLN and Jolly Phonics training concludes at DIET Leh
The five-day teacher training workshop on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) lesson planning and Jolly Phonics concluded successfully on February 21 at District Institute of Education and Training Leh. The programme was organised in collaboration with the 17,000 Feet Foundation and Jolly Phonics.
The training sessions were conducted by expert resource persons Archana Mahindra and Shainaz Jussa, a certified Jolly Phonics trainer from the UK. Both trainers demonstrated great dedication throughout the workshop, providing practical demonstrations, classroom strategies, and interactive activities aimed at strengthening teachers’ skills in foundational literacy, numeracy, and phonetics instruction.
The Joint Director of the School Education Department, UT Ladakh, graced the valedictory function as the Chief Guest. The Principal of DIET Leh warmly welcomed the Chief Guest and appreciated the resource persons for their tireless commitment and the high-quality training imparted to the participants.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest assured that his office would extend full support in addressing service-related matters of teachers. He also encouraged participants to effectively implement the newly learned pedagogical practices in their respective schools for the overall benefit of students.
