First- ever women open volleyball championship organised in Leh

The first ever women open volleyball championship organised by Ladakh women volleyball association, Leh at the indoor stadium from May 4 to 7. 

In the championship 17 team from all over the Leh district has enthusiastically participated. 
The main aim of this championship is to bring out the hidden talent of the students. The championship is designed to contribute to the development of Ladakh’s women Sport and also to encourage girls to exercise and make physical activities a part of their lifestyle.

Tashi Dolma, KAS project director DRDA Leh has inaugurated the championship.
Stanzin Lamo, Secretary , Ladakh Women Volleyball Association Leh said that the main aim of the tournament is to bring the spirit of sports and to develop the prevailing standard of women Sports in Ladakh by providing a platform to showcase their talent of Sports.

On the first day total 9 matches were played between the different teams, Skitchan Angle Group defeat higher secondary Khaltse by 2 set to 0.
