Fire and fury corps AD Brigade organises Veer naris outreach programme in Leh

The Fire and Fury Corps AD Brigade organised Veer Naris outreach programme on February 5. The event brought together 25 Veer Naris, whose husbands made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil war.

The primary objective of the programme was to address the pressing issues faced by Veer Naris and enhance their well-being through informative sessions on the latest policies and initiatives implemented for their welfare. The Brigade Commander actively engaged in detailed interactions with ex-servicemen and Veer Naris, fostering a sense of community and understanding of their unique challenges and requirements.

Col Lobsang Neema, Director, Zila Sainik Board UT Ladakh, provided insights into the procedures established by the Rajya Sainik Board and Zila Sainik Board, offering the option for video calls to address queries and facilitate necessary actions.

Col Prashant Thakur expressed heartfelt gratitude towards the Veer Naris, acknowledging them as the brave widows of fallen heroes who embody the resilience and sacrifice defining the spirit of the nation. Their unwavering support and contributions to the country's defense serve as a testament to their courage and patriotism.

Captain Tsering Stobdan expressed gratitude to the Fire and Fury AD for paying respect to ex-servicemen and Veer Naris. He highlighted the significance of recognizing not only those who sacrificed during the Kargil War but also warriors from 1962 and 1971. He urged paying tribute to all these heroes.

The distinguished attendees included the Fire and Fury Corps AD Bde Commander, Commanding Officer, ex-servicemen, representatives from Zila Sainik Boards, bank managers from various branches, and the Director of Rajya Sainik Board. 

Veer Naris were felicitated with medical and winter essential kits, demonstrating a commitment to their well-being and honoring their sacrifices.
