Enterprising Ladakh makes first appearance at 7th Edition of Enchanting Ladakh at Delhi Haat
Enterprising Ladakh, an initiative of Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Union Territory of Ladakh, and implemented under the vision of Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), marked its first appearance at the 7th Edition of Enchanting Ladakh, held at Delhi Haat, New Delhi, from February 1 to 15.
As part of the event, 11 different brands developed under the Enterprising Ladakh initiative showcased their products, providing them with an opportunity to access national-level markets.
The products were created by participants from various colleges of Ladakh, universities, ITIs, youth entrepreneurs, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and established business owners. The platform enabled these entrepreneurs to gain valuable exposure and connect with a wider customer base.
A diverse range of products was on display, including 3D models, crocheted items, khataks, Ladakhi cookies, sheep-wool products, locally made cakes, sea buckthorn products, and traditional Zanskar ghee, reflecting Ladakh’s rich entrepreneurial potential and cultural heritage.
Two students also actively participated in the event, gaining hands-on experience in marketing, customer interaction, and product sales, thereby strengthening their practical entrepreneurship skills.
The participation of Enterprising Ladakh marks a significant step towards supporting local enterprises, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening national market linkages for products originating from the Union Territory of Ladakh.
