Enrollment drive held in Diskit to boost admissions in Govt schools

An enrollment drive was successfully conducted at the Community Hall in Disket, Nubra, aimed at encouraging parents to enroll their children in government schools. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from villagers, the Goba (village head), members of Ama Tsogspa, and representatives of various local organisations, marking a significant step towards strengthening government schools in the region.

The Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Nubra, Sonam Dolker, attended the programme as the chief guest. The Nodal Officer of Ladakh Model School, Chamba, Headmaster of Ladakh Model School, Ibex Colony, Sonam Gyalson, Headmaster of Ladakh Model School, Disket Girls, along with staff members and Advisory VEC members of both middle schools, were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the ZEO Nubra highlighted the importance of quality education and encouraged the community to support government schools by enrolling their children. She assured that government schools are continuously being strengthened and are committed to providing quality education and facilities comparable to reputed institutions.

As a result of the drive, five new students were enrolled, taking the total number of new admissions to 14 across different classes.

The programme concluded with a strong message emphasizing the importance of community participation and collective responsibility in promoting quality education and strengthening government schools in Nubra.
