Government Eliezer Joldan Memorial (EJM) College, Leh, organised an orientation programme on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, along with a timetable doubt-clearing session, for newly admitted students on July 10.

The programme aimed to familiarise students with the key features of NEP 2020, including its student-centric approach, flexibility in course selection, multidisciplinary learning and the academic framework adopted by the college. It also provided an opportunity for students to seek clarification on the academic timetable, course structure and other related matters, ensuring a smooth transition into college life.

The session was conducted by members of the Time Table Committee, including Stanzin Itga, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry; Dr. Rinchen Tundup, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics; and Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Assistant Professor, Department of Education.

The faculty members addressed students' queries, explained the implementation of NEP 2020 at the college and guided them through the academic schedule, course structure and institutional procedures.

The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students actively participated and had their concerns addressed. The initiative was well received and is expected to help the newly admitted students begin their academic journey with greater confidence and clarity.
