Education department gears up to conduct annual examination of high school  Imparts training regarding handling of examination material during the Covid-19 situation

Training regarding the handling of examination material during the Covid-19 situation was imparted on November 20 to the Superintendent/ Dy. Superintendent /Supervisory staff and Assistant Superintendent engaged in the conduct of the annual examination of high school and intermediate in UT Ladakh.

The training was organised by the Education Department, Leh.

Deputy CMO Leh, Dr. Manzoor imparted details on guidelines/instruction in context to the handling of examination material during the Covid-19 situation. He advises following precautions such as the washing of hands at frequent intervals, covering of mouth and nose with a handkerchief while coughing or sneezing, cleaning of examination hall with disinfectant solution, and avoiding touching surfaces. Also asked to seek treatment if they have symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, sore throat, or headache.

Keeping in view the increasing situation of Covid-19 cases in the district, CEO Girdari Lal directed all the concerned Officer/officials who engaged in the said examination must follow the strict Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)/guidelines issued by the Administration. Proper thermal scanner before entering the hall, maintain social distancing, wearing mask, washing hand and other precautionary measures laid by the Administration must follow. 

In view of the harsh winter season in the region, the CEO stated that facilities of heating, electricity, drinking water, toilet facility, and arrangement for sanitization shall be provided at every examination center. 

He further directed the concerned officer/officials to manage separate rooms especially for asymptomatic patients and candidates who are under quarantine and also directed the Official to collect material being provided for Covid-19 mitigation measures.
