EC, Punchok Tashi reviews COVID-19 vaccination drive for 18+ status at CHC, Padum

EC, Zanskar Affairs, Er Punchok Tashi took stock of the pace of health infrastructure development works and COVID-19 vaccination for 18 to 44 years age group at Community Health Centre (CHC) Padum on May 26.

Block Medical Officer (BMO), Zanskar, Dr Stanzin Namgyal apprised the EC about the works about different health infrastructure development works including the up-gradation of Medical Aid Centre (MAC) to Primary Health Center (PHC) in the Sub Division and availability of the COVID-19 vaccines for the above 18 persons at CHC Padum. He also informed about the asymptomatic and other COVID-19 positive patients admitted at the Covid Care Centre (CCC) at CHC Padum.

EC, Punchok Tashi informed that an amount of ₹1.70 crore has been sanctioned under the District Capex Budget for development of health-related infrastructure in the Zanskar Sub Division including the construction of residential quarters for doctors, paramedics and other staff besides the purchase of healthcare equipment and medicines. 

He also inspected the ongoing works of the oxygen plant sanctioned under the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund).
