Executive Councilor, Education, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain visited various Government Schools of GM Pore Constituency and took first-hand account of the basic facilities on 8 November.

He was accompanied by Chief Education Officer Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmed, and Councilor GM Pore, Syed Ali.

EC took an assessment of basic facilities available in various Government Middle, High, and Higher Secondary schools including the availability of specific teachers, drinking water facilities, toilets, electricity supply, sports equipment, etc. 

He assured that the drinking water supply issue of all the schools will be taken up with Exen and will be resolved at the earliest and the issue of unavailability of subject-specific teachers should be brought to the notice of ZEO and then referred to the CEO for necessary action.

Regarding other requirements like pending construction works at various schools due to the end of the working season, he assured that in the next working season from March onwards, these works will resume and will be completed on a war footing basis.

He advised teachers to work hard with students for the upcoming board exams and focus on weak students to achieve maximum results in the first CBSE board exam.
