Dr. Sajjad Hussain conferred prestigious FAIS fellowship at ASICON 2025
Dr. Sajjad Hussain, Consultant Surgeon at District Hospital Kargil, Ladakh, has been conferred the prestigious Fellowship of the Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS) during the 85th Convocation of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASICON 2025) held on December 19.
The grand convocation ceremony took place at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata, West Bengal.
ASICON, the largest surgical conference in India, attracts leading surgeons from across the country and abroad and is regarded as one of the most prestigious congregations of surgical professionals globally.
The Fellowship was conferred by the President of the Association of Surgeons of India, Prof. Dr. Pravin R. Suryawanshi, in the august presence of eminent surgeons and stalwarts of the medical fraternity from India and overseas. Dr. Hussain received the honour in recognition of his professional excellence, outstanding contributions and dedicated service in the field of surgery, particularly in challenging and remote regions like Ladakh.
