District Police, Leh introduces drug abuse reporting web portal

Drug abuse and illicit liquor trade reporting web portal an initiative by District Police, Leh was launched by ADGP, Ladakh Police, Satish Khandare on May 12. 

The website portal aims to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and has been designed with the intention that the public could directly report the activities of drug abuse to the Leh police, and action can be taken, keeping the confidentiality of the informer safe.

https://www.drugsfreeleh.com can be accessed from any device and information can be shared with District Police Leh. It is important to mention here that the information so reported can only be accessed by SSP Leh and thorough enquiry/action shall be taken on the information so provided. The website also hosts information about the list of De-addiction centres across India, information on the harmful effects of drugs and how to identify a drug user, so that the general public is also aware of the common trends of drug uses. 

ADGP Ladakh and SSP Leh informed that with the launch of the  web portal is actually extending the information outreach to the general public which will definitely help the police department in fight against the drug abuse and requests the general public to use the web portal to share information whole heartedly without any hesitation.
