District Hospital Kargil gets critical care ambulance

District Hospital Kargil gets the first critical care ambulance and a garbage van on June 20 in Kargil. 

Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, CEC, LAHDC, Kargil along with Haji Gulzar Hussain, DC, Kargil, Mohammad Hussain, EC Health inaugurated. 

Stating it as a great achievement for the district, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan said that it will reduce the risk of fatalities during the transportation of critical patients towards Srinagar or Leh.

Talking to the media, Dr. Sikindar Khan said that it was a long pending demand of the District Hospital which was fulfilled now. 

Procured at a cost of ₹40 lakh the ambulance is equipped with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) that can be lifesaving in case of Acute Coronary Syndrome. It is also equipped with Vital Signs Monitor (ECG, Blood Pressure and SPO2) that can help medicos and paramedics to keep a track of patient’s condition and act as per the requirement and all other latest life support equipment with split AC for maintaining the temperature inside the ambulance both in winter as well as in summer and GPS.

Kacho Sikandar Khan also informed about a vehicle for the dumping of hospital garbage and waste for the District hospital at a cost of ₹14 lakh.
