Director School Education reviews department functioning in Kargil

Director, School Education, UT Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, reviewed the functioning of the School Education Department in Kargil district on April 2 at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Chief Education Officer, Kargil.

The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer Sonam Wangchuk; District Education Planning Officer Ajaz Ahmad; Accounts Officer, Directorate of School Education, Mukhtar Hussain; Assistant Director (Planning), Directorate of School Education, Mohammad Liyaqat; and other officials from the CEO Office.

During the meeting, the Director reviewed the implementation of various schemes, including PM-SHRI, Samagra Shiksha, and PM-POSHAN. He stressed the need to further strengthen and uplift the school education system in Kargil district.

Kacho emphasized improving overall performance in CBSE examinations and called for focused efforts to enhance academic outcomes. Highlighting the importance of better coordination and teamwork, he urged officials to work collectively and with dedication to achieve tangible improvements in the quality of education.

He further stressed expanding educational access in a need-based and thoughtful manner while improving the working environment and service delivery standards of the department. He encouraged adopting a proactive and student-centric approach to ensure holistic development and better learning outcomes across the Union Territory.

Various aspects related to infrastructural development and financial matters were also discussed in detail. Emphasis was laid on the efficient functioning of the Establishment Section of the CEO Office. Underscoring the scope for significant improvement in Kargil’s education sector, the Director called for sincere and coordinated efforts to meet future challenges and goals.
