In accordance with the circular issued by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, mandating the participation of concerned Headmasters and School Administrators of PM SHRI Schools in the Digital Holistic Progress Card (DHPC) training programme, the first day of the two-day online hands-on training workshop was successfully conducted on June 1, 2026. The workshop, scheduled for June 1–2, is being organised by PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, in collaboration with DIET Leh for PM SHRI schools across the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The workshop is being conducted under the guidance and continued support of Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO of PARAKH and Head of the Educational Survey Division (ESD), NCERT, New Delhi. Her visionary leadership and constant mentorship have played a significant role in facilitating the implementation of the Digital Holistic Progress Card (DHPC) in UT Ladakh.

The inaugural session commenced with an introduction by PARAKH resource persons Christopher Tongbram and Prashant Singh, who provided participants with an overview of the objectives, significance, and implementation framework of the DHPC initiative. They emphasized the importance of holistic assessment and competency-based evaluation as envisioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

During the morning session, the resource persons elaborately explained the hierarchical functional model of the DHPC platform, detailing the flow of responsibilities from PARAKH Administration to Regional Admins, State Admins, District Admins, School Admins, Teachers, Students, and Parents. Participants were familiarized with the roles and responsibilities assigned at each level to ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of the Digital Holistic Progress Card system.

The practical hands-on session focused on the creation of login credentials across various administrative levels. Initially, login credentials were generated for the State Admin, who subsequently created credentials for the District Admins of Leh and Kargil. Thereafter, the District Admins generated login credentials for all School Admins representing PM SHRI schools participating in the online training programme. This step-by-step exercise provided School Admins with practical exposure to the operational workflow of the DHPC portal.

The post-lunch session was devoted to an interactive query and clarification segment. School Admins raised several questions and concerns regarding the process of creating credentials for teachers and students in their respective schools. The PARAKH experts patiently addressed each query and conducted detailed demonstrations to ensure that all participants gained a clear understanding of the procedures involved.

To strengthen the implementation process, School Admins were assigned practical homework to create and verify login credentials for all teachers and students up to the Middle Stage in their respective schools before the commencement of the next day’s session. This exercise is expected to facilitate smooth onboarding and effective utilization of the DHPC platform across PM SHRI schools in the Union Territory.

As the first day of the two-day workshop concluded, it laid a strong foundation for the successful rollout of the Digital Holistic Progress Card system in UT Ladakh. The second day of the workshop, scheduled for June 2, 2026, will focus on further hands-on activities, practical implementation of the platform, data entry procedures, progress card generation, and the resolution of operational challenges encountered by schools during the credential creation process.

The day’s proceedings concluded with a formal vote of thanks to the expert team from PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi, for their dedicated technical support and guidance. Special gratitude was extended to Prof. Indrani Bhaduri, CEO of PARAKH and Head of ESD, NCERT, New Delhi, for her unwavering support, valuable guidance, and continuous encouragement in advancing the implementation of DHPC in UT Ladakh.

The participating Headmasters, School Admins, State Admin, and District Admins appreciated the highly informative and interactive nature of the workshop and expressed their enthusiasm for the second day of training, which will further equip them with the skills and understanding necessary for the effective implementation of the Digital Holistic Progress Card in their respective schools.
