The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, is organising a six-day workshop from July 6 to 11 to reframe Bhoti textbooks for Classes III onwards.

The workshop has been organised in compliance with the directions of the Secretary, School Education Department, UT Ladakh, issued during the launch of Bhoti textbooks up to Class II on December 5, 2025, in the presence of the Director, School Education Department, UT Ladakh, and the Chief Education Officer, Leh.

The Bhoti Textbook Core Committee, comprising experienced academicians, subject experts, and teachers, is reviewing, revising, and finalising the draft textbooks through detailed discussions and collaborative planning.

The workshop aims to develop learner-centred, culturally relevant, and pedagogically sound textbooks aligned with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).

The Principal of DIET Leh appreciated the support extended by the Chief Education Officer, Leh, and lauded the dedicated efforts of the core committee members in strengthening Bhoti language education in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
