Delhi Nizamuddin Markaz attendees from Ladakh should report to DM office: Samphel

With the growing concern over the reports of Tablighi Jamat Nizamuddin Markaz case, Rigzin Samphel, Commissioner Secretary, Health, UT Ladakh appeals people of Ladakh who would have attended Tablighi Jamaat congregation in March to inform District Magistrate Office, Leh and visit district hospitals for their health check-up.

Rigzin Samphel also informed that on April 1, 7 sample reports of COVID-19 were received and all tested negative. Among the negative reports, one report is of the patient who was the first COVID-19 positive case. The patient will be discharged after the second test report. 

He also said that the Rapid Reaction Team from Delhi inspected the arrangements at COVID-19 dedicated hospital at GNM School Kargil. They also visited the containment area of Sankoo and with some observations, they expressed satisfaction over the overall arrangements

After the COVID-19 outbreak, Lieutenant Governor Relief Fund UT Ladakh has been created.
