DDMA Kargil, Indian Army conducts mock drill exercise

DDMA Kargil in collaboration with the Indian Army, Health, Revenue, Mechanical, I&FC, UT-DRF, Fire and Emergency Services and other departments, conducted a disaster preparation cum mini mock drill exercise at Kharbu village on February 12.

The training saw active participation from stakeholders such as Bashij Imam IKMT and Aapda Mitra. The main objective of the exercise was to enhance disaster readiness in the district by equipping participants with essential skills and knowledge.

The Army conducted a mock drill on avalanches while UT-DRF showcased CPR techniques to enhance the community’s resilience against potential disasters.

During the event, BMO Drass emphasized the importance of CPR during disasters. SDM Drass conducted the session by expressing gratitude on behalf of DDMA Kargil to all stakeholders and participants.
