Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse, impressed upon the district officials to ensure strict enforcement of the COVID-19 SOPs and MV Act in the district and initiate stringent legal actions against the violators.

He also directed the district officials to inspect the passenger vehicles regularly with a focus on the observance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour.

DC, Leh and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Leh inspected Leh market and adjoining areas. An inspection drive was also held at various places, including Chumathang, Mahe, Tsomoriri and Nubra. Fines were imposed against Covid-19 SOPs and traffic rules violators.
