DC Leh, Romil Singh Donk (IAS) convened an introductory meeting with all Revenue Officers of Leh district on June 22 at the VC Room of the DC Office, Leh.

Following brief introductions, the DC requested comprehensive block-wise data from each officer. The data included total population, revenue population, number of households, educational infrastructure (such as high schools and higher secondary schools), and the availability of healthcare facilities (including PHCs and NTPHCs). He also asked officers to highlight the key challenges and pressing issues in their respective areas.

In response, all SDMs and Tehsildars shared insights into the specific issues affecting their jurisdictions.

Announcing plans for field visits starting next week, DC Donk said he would personally tour all subdivisions to assess on-ground conditions and monitor the progress of development works. He further assured that such coordination meetings would be held regularly to strengthen administrative responsiveness and inter-departmental communication.

During the meeting, ACR Leh, Shabir Hussain, delivered a detailed presentation on the Ladakh Land Report, with a special focus on the Category Status Certificate (CST) portal. He outlined the application process for the certificate and demonstrated how students and applicants can efficiently utilize the online system for faster, transparent service delivery.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Leh, Ghulam Mohd; ACR Shabir Hussain; SDMs; Tehsildars; and Naib-Tehsildars from across the district.
