Deputy Commissioner Leh, Romil Singh Donk  convened an introductory meeting with all District Officers of Leh district at the Conference Hall of the DC Office on June 23.

The meeting began with self-introductions by all officers, followed by comprehensive presentations on the functions, ongoing projects, and achievements of their respective departments. DC Leh took detailed updates from various departments, with particular focus on key sectors such as Pashmina, Seabuckthorn, Mining, ration card distribution, immunization programs, and both conventional and solar energy initiatives.

To enhance inter-departmental coordination and reporting, DC Leh directed key departments—including Education, Health, Handicrafts/Handloom, Transport (with emphasis on the issue of outside vehicles), PHE, and PWD—to prepare detailed summaries and PowerPoint presentations of their operations.

He also announced that a dedicated meeting on the District Capex Budget would be held in the coming week, with the objective of achieving expenditure targets by the end of August.

The DC further encouraged officers to share suggestions and constructive feedback for better governance and service delivery.

The meeting witnessed full participation from all Heads of Departments and District Officers, reflecting a unified commitment towards the district’s developmental goals.
