DC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, who is also the District Election Officer, visited various polling stations in Kargil Tehsil on December 3 and inspected special camps held under ongoing Special Summary Revision (SSR-2023-24) of electoral rolls. 

District Election Officer was accompanied by Deputy District Election Officer Kargil, Khanzada Usman; Tehsildar Kargil/AERO, Kacho Asgar Ali Khan, and other concerned officers.

District Election Officer enquired about the pace of electoral roll updates from Booth Level Officers (BLOs) particularly during the special camps held under ongoing SSR-2023-24.

The BLOs were instructed to educate the public and eligible youth about the ongoing Special Summary Revision and focus on registering all eligible voters. The DEO also directed the BLOs to update voter information, including additions, deletions corrections, etc.
