DC, Kargil reviews Rural Development Department work Stresses for time-bound completion of quality works

Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve took stock of the progress under PMAY (G), MGNREGA, SBM (G) schemes, Grey Water Management besides physical and financial progress achieved under the Capex Budget, SDP, and State Sector Budget.

The meeting was convened with all the concerned officers of the Rural Development Department (RDD) on October 11.

Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kargil, Ghulam Muhammad briefed about the various targets besides the physical and financial achievements registered so far under various schemes including the Capex Budget, SDP, NRLM, MGNREGA, IWMP, State Sector, monthly progress report under Swachh Bharat Mission and PMAY-G.

DC, Santosh Sukhadeve directed the concerned officers to work in tandem and close coordination with the public representatives, PRI members, and villagers to ensure effective implementation of the welfare schemes on the ground for benefit of the general population. He also stressed on creation of durable assets while strictly adhering to quality parameters.

He stressed that issues and bottlenecks concerning developmental works should be resolved on priority so that deserving people can avail maximum benefits of the developmental works and welfare schemes. He also urged the concerned officers to adopt an empathetic and humane approach while dealing with public issues, adding he said that the RDD personnel has a greater responsibility to address people's issues as they work on the grassroots level.

Meanwhile, DC Kargil also stressed on proper implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission work. He directed the concerned officers to utilize all resources for successful implementation and completion of the scheme within the stipulated timelines
