DC, Kargil inspects offices and health centers, Sankoo

To look over the healthcare facilities, Haji Gulzar Hussain, Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, visited Community Health Center, Sankoo on January 2.
 
Enquiring about the status of work on the 100 KV power facilities at the hospital being constructed at a cost of ₹5 Lakh, Haji Gulzar Hussain directed concerned agencies to expedite the work.

Haji Gulzar Hussain visited various sections and wards of the hospital and took stock of various facilities being provided to the patients. He impressed upon to extend better health care facilities to the patients especially during the winter season.

While interacting with the patients, he enquired about their well being and assured to improve the heating facilities in the hospital with the operationalization of the 100 KV power facilities.

Also, a meeting was conducted with the hospital administration to discuss the availability of facilities in the hospital and the problems faced by patients especially due to lack of specialists and shortage of staff at the hospital. The introduction of Quality Control Assurance Programme at the hospital under Swachh Bharat Mission was also discussed.

Expressing satisfaction over the introduction of the Quality Control Assurance Programme at CHC Sankoo,  Haji Gulzar Hussain directed CMO Kargil to take necessary steps for introducing it at other health institutions across the district.  
 
Meanwhile, a surprise checking of various offices including the office of the Sub Divisional Magistrate Sankoo and Executive Engineer Suru Valley Division was carried out.

Reviewing the situation arisen at Sankoo town and adjoining villages after the season's first snowfall, he stressed to keep men and machinery ready to carry out snow clearance and road maintenance works on the NH 301 as well the interior roads in the area.

Haji Gulzar while taking stock of the ongoing Aadhar Enrolment of the left out people in Sankoo and Suru areas gave directions to the concern to extend the enrolment process at Sankoo block for 4 days considering the growing demand of people of the area.

Underlining the need for regular attendance of employees in offices to address people’s issues and grievances, he directed SDM Sankoo to check attendance of all employees on regular basis adding that they strictly adhere to office timings so that full attendance of employees at Government offices is ensured. Strict action as per the law should be initiated against the employees found absent from their duties.
