A meeting was held at the DC Office, Drass, on August 24 between Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho, and visiting Director of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Jagdish Kumar.

During the meeting, various UIDAI initiatives and activities were discussed, along with the need to strengthen Aadhaar-related services in the newly created Drass district. The Deputy Commissioner sought UIDAI’s support and necessary cooperation to improve Aadhaar services and address related issues in the district.

The UIDAI Director highlighted issues concerning the pendency of Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU) in Drass. The Deputy Commissioner assured that all necessary support would be extended for their early resolution.

The meeting also discussed Child Enrolment, Offline Verification Seeking Entity (OVSE), Aadhaar enrolment and verification of residents aged 18 years and above, and verification of residents aged 100 years and above.
