Cyber Security and Economic Offence training held for Ladakh Police

A two days course on ‘Cyber Security and Economic Offence’ to the specially constituted units in Leh and Kargil district was inaugurated by S.S. Khandare- IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Ladakh Police on March 10.

The two days course on economic/cyber offences is being conducted by the Police Headquarters, Ladakh. The training will be imparted by Ritesh, an expert in the field and is a visiting faculty in many reputed institutes of the country. 

S.S. Khandare interacted with 21 Probationary Sub Inspectors who recently joined Ladakh Police. 

Welcoming the Probationary Police officers, Satish Khandare told them that it is both an opportunity and challenge to serve in the newly created Union Territory of Ladakh. He said that the practical training has been so designed that the probationary police officers will get familiar and working knowledge of each wing/unit of Police Department viz Police state works, CID, Security, Disaster Response Force, Armed Police, etc. He stated that police officers need to have special skills. There is a requirement to identify special skills and expertise for further career progression. 

He further stressed on the officers to gear up and enhance their skills in computer knowledge, cybercrime as a future requirement of police work is completely based on computer-related crime/issues. 

He informed that Ladakh police is providing an opportunity to young officers to become an expert in at least two to three subject as Cybercrime, (NDPS) Narcotics, Economics Offence and Crime against women, etc. Ladakh police will facilitate to enhance the policing skills of all the officers by imparting special training and even deputing to undergo training from reputed institutes such as Rashtriya Rakshak University, India. He apprises all the officers to work hard and dedicatedly during this probationary learning period and work overtime to learn other police practical works/ assignments besides skill development training. 

The officers were asked to prepare a learning note and submit it to Police Headquarters to evaluate the learning by each officer.
