To facilitate the provision of essential commodities to people at their doorsteps amidst the prevailing situation of COVID-19, District Administration Kargil on March distributed rice and atta among different households in Sankoo Containment Zone.

Sajjad Hussain, Tehsildar Sankoo, said that a total 106 quintals of rice and 106 quintals of atta was distributed among 424 households of Thang Sankoo, Yokmagrong Thang, Mangrong Thang, Balti Baho, Banyalsa, Chechesna, Thama Yokmagrong, Nangma Gongma, Nangma, Kaosar, Nakpochu, Narambi, Lamphet and Dumbur hamlets in the Containment Zone. 

The ration was issued on the scale of 25 quintals rice and 25 quintals atta per household.
