Stanzin Lakpa, Councillor Cha, Hill Council, Kargil presented a memorandum with some demands of the Zanskar region to R K Mathur, Lieutenant Governor on May 9.

Zankar at present has no positive cases of COVID-19 and as a precautionary measure, Stanzin Lakpa requested for filling up of the vacant posts in CHC Padum and other medical centres in Zanskar.  He also appealed for the provision of sanitizer, masks, and ventilator. 

He further requested to consider evacuation of stranded people of Zanskar in Kullu Manali through Lahaul and to reopen the Darcha-Padum road via Shingula Pass.
