CHC Sankoo initiates 5-day training programme of School Health and Wellness Ambassadors

A 5-day block-level training programme for School Health and Wellness Ambassadors under the Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Programme began at the Community Health Centre's conference hall on March 22.

The training was organised by the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Sankoo in collaboration with the Block Medical Officer (BMO) CHC Sankoo, Kargil. 

Dr Zahida Khatoon, Block Medical Officer, CHC Sankoo and Hadi Ali, Zonal Education Officer Sankoo and school health ambassadors were present on the first day.

Approximately 88 teachers, designated as School Health Ambassadors from all the blocks of Sankoo Zone, were provided training on various health issues. 

Dr Abdur Rawfie, RBSK Medical Officer and Nodal Officer of the Health and Wellness Programme, gave a detailed presentation on various health issues.
 
The training covered a wide range of subjects, including safety and security, mental health,interpersonal relationships, gender equality, nutritional health, sanitation, prevention and management of substance abuse, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, reproductive health and HIV awareness, fostering healthy growth, safe internet and social media usage, as well as values and citizenship.
