CEC, Leh, visits Govt. High School Wanla, distributes Edu-tabs to students

CEC, Hill Council, Leh, Tashi Gyalson visited Govt High School (GHS), Wanla, and distributed pre-loaded educational tablet ‘Yountab’ to the students of 9th and 10th standard on August 10.

Addressing the students, CEC, Tashi Gyalson asked students to use the tablets judiciously. He said that the digitalization of villages in the Singay Lalok region is in full swing and soon all the villages of the region will be connected digitally through a proper telecommunication network with adequate internet facilities. 

He also reviewed the infrastructural status of the school and directed BDO Singay Lalok to speed up required renovation work and construct proper facilities such as wash facilities for better hygiene of the students and teachers at the school.

CEC Gyalson visited Hanupata village to inaugurate the annual archery festival organised by Samstan Ngosdup Tsogspa of Hanupata village. He appreciated the villagers and the society for organising such festivals, which he termed as an effort to preserve the region's ancient local culture and heritage. He also gave a patient hearing to the grievances of the villagers and assured to resolve the issues at the earliest.

BDC Chairperson, Singay Lalok; BDO Singay Lalok, Headmaster/Teachers of GHS Wanla, village representatives including, Sarpanch, Panch, VEC Chairman, villagers, and concerned departmental officials were present on the occasion.
