CEC, Kargil, reviews LAHDC untied grant 2021-22

CEC, Hill Council, Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan reviewed the physical and financial progress of works under LAHDC untied grant 2021-22 on January 31.

Chief Planning Officer, Kargil, Abdul Hadi apprised the meeting that for this financial year, a total of ₹9.5 crores has been marked, out of which ₹8 crores has been kept for works while around ₹1.5 crore for purchasing of machinery. Around ₹2.20 crore of expenditure has been achieved by the different departments.

CEC took a detailed review from the officers of the respective departments regarding the expenditure achieved under untied grant 2021-22.

Given cold climatic conditions, CEC directed the concerned officers to submit the list of works to CPO related to construction works that wouldn’t be completed within this financial year. He directed the concerned officers to book maximum expenditure within two weeks and said that a review meeting will be taken after the stipulated period to monitor the expenditure. 

The CPO was asked to constitute a committee and identify a procurement store in Srinagar for stockpiling of equipment purchased by various departments. He stressed for maximum expenditure under LAHDC untied grant 2021-22, to utilize grants for the benefits of people at large.
