CEC inspects SNM Hospital, directs officials for better facilities and service

Various requirements and status of the SNM hospital were inspected by CEC Dr. Sonam Dawa on May 18 in Leh.  Along with EC Tourism Tsering Sandup and other concern government officials, different units of the hospital was inspected. 

During the inspection, Dr Dawa, CEC informed that an amount of ₹ 80 Lakh has already been released for the installation of lift system and directed Ex-En Mechanical Division to follow up the case with DC office for its early completion. 
On the demand of hospital for trolleys to shift emergency cases and restore leakages in the bathrooms of ENT ward, CEC directed Ex-En Construction Division to repair the bathrooms on priority.

Dr Dawa directed Medical Superintendent Dr. Motup to conduct a mock drill in the emergency ward and to supply the old equipment to PHCs as and when new equipment get installed in the SNM Hospital. 

Dr Sonam Dawa urged the Labour Room staff to maintain good behaviour and positive attitude with the patients. He directed Deputy Registrar Cooperative for early action on the opening of fair price shop in SNM Hospital, Leh.

Dr Sonam Dawa informed that ₹ 2.25 crores have been released under PMDP for the Hospital improvement and ₹ 1.50 crore has also been enhanced in district plan for the health sector.  

He appealed for quality services and facilities on part of medical department especially while dealing with tourists at the hospital. He said that Tourist facilitation centre at Khardongla and other tourist destination would be made functional soon with oxygen facilities.

The doctors demanded for more numbers of residential quarters and running water facility in the existing quarters. 

Dr Dawa, CEC ensured to look into the matter and provide them with possible infrastructure.
